Can any one tell me what wires to bridge @ the regulator or how to wire in a 90's barina multi v alternator in my 83 sierra orig 1.0ltr now import barina 1.3(1298cc)???
plug on sierra @ alternator end:

wht/grn wire - F l l N -wht/blk
same colors @ reg end!!
plug on barina alternator:

Need this to work as old alt shagged this one near new!!!

The info in the thread will work for you as Christover has a swift alternator.
if in doubt, just swap the wires at the alternator, but the regulator patch is correct regardless.
Chris might be able to shed more light on what's hooked to what on his swift alternator.

basically the alternators are the same , the IG wire is the important it is the one that supplies the power to the alternator to excite the diodes (im not trying to be funny by that statement either), and charge the battery from the main terminal , if there isnt t least 8 volt or more going to the ig wire the diodes will not tell the reg to start charging. if you look at the pins you have two vertical and one horizontal pin , the pin that is vertical to the left of the horizontal pin is the ig , the other vertical is the L which is for the light on the dash
I know it's the soft option, but i took mine to an auto elec. He had to machine some off the back of the sierra pulley to get it to sit so the belt was flush. He checked and connected all the wires, bench tested it all. As long as i took it out of the 'zook and put it back in, he only charged me $30.
