front axle inner shaft question

I'd say just keep at it. I've removed several from Gen I trucks using a slide hammer. Some come right out after only a couple hits with the slide hammer, others have taken lots of force and many hits. You should get it eventually.

inner axle
exactly what iv always done. Worked a treat every time, and like glenn said, not that much force needed. Dont have to worry about it anymoreglenn_c wrote:My gen2 I just use the CV as a slide hammer not much force required

hi
with a slide hammer it will try to pull on a angle, and it wont come out at all !use the cv as doiong this it will pull it out straight then the cir clip will let go and all will be good .if u persist with the slide hammer u risk the chane of damage to uur diff centre.same as a front wheel drive .if u try leaver it out it wont come but if u use the cv it will .best of luck.
