GU front parker/indicator removal

Post by BrettInUte »

Ive tried every which way - but I cant get the indicator/parker light out.

Removed screw that sits under front corner of bonnet.
Light twists around - but still seems attached near the botton tip (half under the headlight)

I also pulled out the long screw/pin that slides down next to the screw.

Do I need to remove the headlight as well ??

(Im getting frustrated now)
Cheers.

I had some instructions from ARB when fitting the 2nd battery.

By memory there was a screw/ bolt underneath and you remove the long nail type thing with pliers. Undo the caling and it will wriggle out.

I think you have to pop out the plastic bit under the head light.

If you've taken out the small phillips screw and also the long locator one, then stand next to the guard and with the palm of your hand smack it forwards pretty hard. A bit harder than you're comfortable with if you've never done it! But it's much easier on customer's cars. It will pop out P.O.P then.

/\ +1.

There is a smal plastic retainer clip near the bottom. Hitting it forwards with your palm is the go.

Otherwise it is possible to poke a long screwdriver down between the indicator and headlight and prise it forwards.
