Reseting springs
Reseting springs
Had one of those ideas that will either work out good or lead to a whole heap of flaming so,
After checking out reverse wrap springs and thinking that it could possibly lower my zuk buy atleast an inch but I have too many other bills atm.
So I was looking at an old flat main I had laying near the pipe bender, it looks possible to reset it in reverse (eyes at the bottom) but not sure on strenght.
Although in spoa axle they do get inverted not sure how constant inverted running will go.
If its possible I,ll just do the main and fit it to my current pack.
Im only thinking of this as I have dead flat spoa on toys but would like a little lower.

I guess all you need to do is talk to relevant pros in the area and give it a crack. You might end up wasting your money by going the cheap option (which i've found just leads to spending more in the long run)...but it could work. Or it might pay to get some reverse wrap springs made up here in oz rather than importing them...

I,d almost convinced myself it was a stupid idea but thats a good point the low riders have been running themlike that for years.
I wasnt going to be spending $ to get it done its a seirra not a vit
Ive reset my springs a few times was just going to reverse the arch on the main (its nearly flat anyway) and leave therest of the pack as is.
Just a crazy idea.

nik if the spring leaves r in good nik they wont break . spring leaves r prett flex able . i run a 4 leaf pack in a froty series i use for comps . it soa as well it flex's great .the spring packs r the factory ones out off it less 2 leavesNIK wrote:Just when I thought Id figured out your sense of humour!
