ARB Compressor, install location.

Post by Draven »

Hey guys,

Ive got a GQ, TB42 with gas, duel batteries, cruise etc etc. Ive just gone out and grabed myself a ARB air compressor in prep for some diff locks.

I was just wondering where everyone else has managed to squeeze their compressor?....I mean im just about out of room :)

I would prefer to keep it under bonnet as I use under the seats for other stuff.

Thanks

Mines mounted under the drivers seat, with the factory tool kit.
With a tree trunk protecter and snatch strap under the passenger seat.
All worked well until the ARB Comp (old one) broke the shaft off the motor (anyone know if these can be rewelded??).

Passenger side, in the corner of the firewall and the inner fender, bolted to the inner fender.. This is the preferred position for most ARB fitters, as it works well with the looms. You will need to move the vacuum tank (if fitted) for the clutch.
Built, not bought.

Under Drivers seat.
Also stops crap behind comp sliding forward under your pedals on steep hills.
Runs cooler there and breathes clean air :)
