turbo petrol 80 series CAN IT BE DONE?
Hey ive just put 35's on my 80 and am finding it doesnt really like the hills,
was thinking of getting it turbo'd has anyone done this before an if so any problems to look out for, any other mods to make it compatible, rough cost?
also its on gas.

U will need to be good with a spanner and efi. There is a manifold 4 sale on here now

i have 2 Cast turbo manifolds, 1 is to suit a 1fz-fe 80 or 100 series and the other is to suit a TB45 nissan Patrol GU.

yeah thats what ive been doing, works great but not too keen on revving the car past 3 1/2 - 4 grandoldmate wrote:go back to third. Go the turbo, I did one years ago and it was awesome, no harder than any other vehicle to turbo. There are a few options, kits available now as well as custom stuff. It's not difficult to make double the power without any issues, and the bottom end is tough in them.
I did a duel fuel Safari system 4.5 L with a Gasresearch carby, and have done roller bearing turbos on straight LPG and petrol only vehicles.

My last 80 ran 35's and it was noticeable, but the power of the motor std was sufficient....but i wanted more, so i put extracters on, then a free flow exhaust, finally a safari turbo system, and after that, it was a weapon. Down side was premium unleaded, upside was power to smoke tyres under acceleration. Rediculous power
