front output shaft
front output shaft
is it worth getting the bigger output shaft for a 85 model? and will it fit, it says for 86 to 94 on the lowrange website. will be running 33"s and lockers.

I can't see it being a big deal either.
We've got a few cars running 34/35+ tyres and it's never been a problem.
Note, It's not about breakage, it's that the dog teeth on the front drive clutch are deeper on the later shaft so it doesn't pop out of 4WD as easily. If yours is popping out of 4WD, you probably have wear on the dog teeth and the new output shaft might be useful.
Steve.

Redzook runs either 6.5s or S4s, 37s sticky mickeys, lockers, and a stock output in his buggy. i wouldnt bother with the mod
Zooks are for people that aren't afraid of angles and who have nothing to compensate for

then i couldnt keep it engaged
so i stepped up to the newer output
but its not holding either
i will be welding it up so i have constant 4wd its the only way i can keep it together
but it will be fine i had no problems in any of my cars or the buggy till i added water
