Help needed in Ireland!

Post by Roofus »

Hi Guys
Firstly I'll apologise for asking questions already answered! But I can't decipher the answers!
I'm a Nissan Novice.......
My off road toy is a Mitsi Triton, running 35's.
Got my hands on a set of Nissan Axles......but I can't identify the donor vehicle or which axles I have! Not to mention the ratio!??

Apologies for posting links instead of pictures....can't seem to get it to work!?

My Toy!

The Front Axle.... Haven't cracked it open yet.....but there is the following printed on the casing 38511G9G40

The Rear Axle..... Again, haven't cracked it open yet....but the following is printed on the casing 38511G9800 IR

The Donor Vehicle....has square headlights....other than that I'm afraid I don't know. Was a UK 'J' plate....which equates to 1991. The only thing close to it's Vin Number I could decipher from the plates was VSKWYG2600053229B......

Any help would be greatly appreciated! I've got a budget for airlockers & a full suspension lift kit.....but which ones remain a mystery!

Thanks in advance gents!!!

Thanks Jav! That's one question answered!

Am still reading through the 'Bibles'.....amazing amount of info! Just wish I understood it all!

Can I ask if the 'spilnes' everyone keeps mentioning are simply the number of teeth (Splines?) on the end of the shafts?

Sorry......am a mechanical pygmy!

Well.....just nipped out to count the bolts on the rear diff.....there are 11 & it doesn't have a flat bottom. So.....it's a H233B??? :?: It also has a sticker saying LSD....so fingers crossed that's what's actually in there!
Can I ask if the LSD is worth keeping? I got the axles for free, so the budget will stretch to an airlocker......

I'm guessing therefore that the front is a C200??? It has 8 bolts if that helps! :)

I read somewhere on here that I can put a Navara LSD into the front C200....can someone confirm that?

Thanks again!
