Turbo onto non-turbo SD33

Post by Marz's Mad MQ »

Hey. I'm new to this forum am just after some suggestions/opinions on this topic.
I have a 1985 MK SWB SD33. I bought this car as a SD33T only to find that the head was cracked and had just been filled with magic head crack filler stuff:( After waiting for about half a year and no turbo motors apperaing in the paper i finally got a non-turbo motor. Seeing as i still have the turbo i'm hoping to bolt it on. I have the manifolds from the turbo but am wondering the best place would be to get oil feed and return? Any info on this would be great. Dont know if anyone else has done this before?

Cheers,

Marz

you can put a t peice in where your oil pressure switch is. For your return you will have to modify the sump

i swaped out a SD33T for a SD33 for a mate, before turboing the N/A motor make sure the steam vents in the N/A head are there cause SD's have a nasty habit of poping the head gasket if there not there,
went through 3 gaskets before looking at the original head and the n/a head,
rear quarters are evil and must be punished with rocks
