any u guys see a problem in liftin an early rangie by heating and streching the coil springs?...a blacksmith in my town does it all the time on all sort of vehicles and reckons it works a treat...im only lookin at 2" lift...is there anything to watch for e.g. steering geometry, drivetrain etc when doin this?...thanks again

YES problems.
Mitsubishi 2010 NT DID Pajero wagon, Factory rear diff lock, Dual batteries, ARB bar, winch, Mt ATZ 4 rib tyres.
1986 RR.
Custom suspension links etc.
HSV 215 engine.
4.3 diffs.

Probably be better of getting 2" lift springs for the rear, and moving your original rears to the front.

Get 2"spring spacers, would be safer and easier

I know a guy who did this - unfortunately they sag again so your lift will be temporary....


Springs don't cost a lot....

Not the best way to get a lift I would have thought. Spring spacers are designed to level a load not to be used to lift a vehicle 2".
The King springs I bought for my patrol cost about $140 for the pair. Can't imagine Rangie springs would cost so much more.
