GU front recovery points

Post by MNBS 4x4 »

I have just picked up 2 heavy duty outback idea steel recovery plates

(http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll ... 0397752687)

The front drivers side is a straight swap with the nissan hook, what is the best way to fit the passenger side, the holes are pre drilled on the inside of the chassis rail but directly on the other side there is a body mount so you cant drill straight through and fit crush tubes and the chassis rails are closed of at the ends so I cant get a tapped steel plate behind it!!!

Suggestions please, will this plate be usable on the GU, (I had 2 on my GQ and they were great) as I would prefer 2 front recovery points.

Cheers
