80 series gearbox input shaft bearing replacement

Post by TurboRA28 »

Hi all, I am thinking the input shaft bearing in my 80 series gearbox is on the way out.
If I pull the box out can this bearing be replaced without stripping the box apart, like is it accessible from the front of the box?
Thanks
Joel

You have to dismantle the box. the bearing is pressed onto the input shaft.

unless you have a puller that pulls the bearing out via the circlip groove
