Just wondering if anyone has a guide or instructions to cut the guards for my gq. The tyres scrub in the back of the front guard when turning.
was just goign to cut with angle grinder or tin snips but need to still run a flare and didnt want to leave a sharp edge.
Cheers,
Welchy

I cut the lips off leaving the radius edge on then cut off the required amount from the guards. Then weld the lip back on, prime, spray putty, undercoat then paint................................and looks factory Your factory flares and mudflaps wont fit back on though, thats where flexi flares come in.

just found this that i posted ages ago!! might help...
the easyest way is 2 get go round the edge of the gaurd & quarter with 10mm masking tape, cut it on that line with a jigsaw & make the bottoms about 25mm more,, then run 15mm masking tape on that line & fold it over to the tape line with a hammer & dolly for your flares to screw on to, the front is easy but the quarters are abit more tricky coz of the inner, but still not 2 bad, just seal it with some urathane to stop water getting between the 2 panels,, with that measurment the flare sits right on the body line & looks good,,
cheers jess...
