got a 97 80 series landcruiser 4.5 petrol on gas has slight miss at idle and hesitation on acceleration but doesnt seem to bad up high revs pulled plugs out and don comp test no 1 at 60 psi and al the rest on 180 psi put bit of oil in and goes upto 65 psi wondering if it would be exaust valve or head gasket not blowing smoke so ant be rings any help would be great thanx

Just recently had the same problem with my 80 series! Burnt out exhuast valve will most likely be the cause. Mine was down at 30 psi on the dead cylinder rest 175psi. pull the valve cover off and check the clearences - exhaust valve will have run out of clearance and burnt out.

it cost me 1100 to get my head done up (only needed two exhaust valves and all new exhaust seats inc VRS gasket set)

After you get the head done up get it dyno tuned to make sure not running to lean and probably need to check valve every 40thou or less as gas burn hotter and than get get out of spec bit faster.
