free wheeling hubs

Post by craz3d »

well my hubs have been butchered by the previous owner, somehow :? (they're missing internal parts and don't engage, ring gear still good though)
so i need 2 new ones before I can start going offroad, and was wondering if you guys have any experience with these:

I'm kinda warey cause they look too cheaply made to last :/
could I replace the ring gears in these with the ones I already have and it'd all work?

im not sure on those free wheeling hubs, but i have AVM hubs and i wouldn't recomend them to anyone, they constantly leak and the O rings keep breaking, the screws snap driver bits too easily.

Stick with the Assin hubs. Should be heaps at the wreckers.

X2

If you decide to put aftermarket CV's and hub gears down the track it will be a lot easier to get gears to suit the Assin hubs.

What bits are they missing? There is not much too them bar the springs, a plate and the hub gear. If the springs are still there they may have just put them back incorrectly which I have seen before.
