4'' lift
a two inch lift with radius arm spacers, castor correction and rear lower control arms would be all you need to get 33"s under without any rubbing.
Saves you a heap of coin, you don't run into trouble with driveshaft angles etc causing vibrations etc and it's more stable keeping it lower.
A set of radius arm spacers with washers costs about $70-$80 from superior, get your lower arms for $350 same place then fit a normal 2" lift with castor bushes. Old man emu set up for a GQ would cost you around $1400 paying full retail, but that includes everything you need including castor bushes. Most places would quote for around 4.5hrs labour so fitting it yourself would save a fair bit.
The radius arm spacers push your front diff forward to compensate for the lift shortening your wheel base slightly and it stops 33"s from rubbing at all.
I recommend lower control arms because it's just cheap insurance against tearing the arse out of your truck when you bend the tiny factory arms.

You shouldn't need radius arm spacers for a 33" tyre. I think castor correction with a 2" will be unnecessary as well, although some trucks get away with out it and some need it...only one way will tell
Also longer lower arms would be overkill for the lift BUT they would be a big improvement on the factory arms strength wise.

1991 GQ TD42 Safari, 5spd, 4" Lift, 35" shovels, Locked & Loaded.
No need for front radius arm spacers, castor correction bushes, nor longer rear lower control arms for a 2" lift. In the future it will be a good idea to upgrade your lower control arms to a standard length but heavier duty.
