Clutch Cable Rubbing

Clutch Cable Rubbing
Hi Guys,
Has anyone had any problems with the clutch cable rubbing on a Feroza? It was working fine and then one day it started making this god aweful noise everytime the pedal goes in and out. I have had a look and can't figure out how to stop it from rubbing. It sounds like the cable is catching on something between the pedal and the exit to the firewall.
ANy ideas?

on closer inspection with the help of an assistant I have narrowed it down to the cable rubbing in the housing near the battery. Do you think this means the cable is on its way out?
Any ideas on where to source a new cable form and a rough price?
Also any tips on how to get some lube into the cable housing?

I lubed the cable and put it back on the pedal and all of a sudden nothing. The padal is now limp and even though the pedal moves the cable it won't go into gear. I can manually move the lever underthe car as well and nothing.
I think the clutch fork has gone which means I'm outta pocket another $6-700 for a POS that I don't want any more. If only I could afford another car I'd burn this one in a heartbeat.

Sounds like you may have broken a inner spring or 2 on the clutch plate. I broke 2 inners and 1 outer spring was seized a few years ago.
