80 series bump stops
80 series bump stops
hey guys just wondering how i go about fitting 80 series bumpstops. do i have 2 do any altering of original bracket or weld sumfin 2 the chassy??? cheers
G'Day ,
no , no neeed to do any lopping and choping , just pull the spring out reamove the old bumpstop and bolt the new ones in .
they do look like they sit to one side but on full compression they line up spot on.
i did mine the other day and all i had to do was supply my own bolts as they didnt come with the bumpstops.
And dont forget to check that when the bumpstop is bottomed out, to make sure you still have (from memory) about 30 mm of upwards shock travel for when the BS fully compresses .
hope this helps a bit.

G'day ,jemmos wrote:thanx for that chicken, but what about the rear? do i use 80 series or extend the factory ones sum how??? im running 4inch lift with 35s.
with the rear some people just throw some rhs in uder the bumpstop and tack it in place, other people use rhs to extend the actual mounting of the BS , but the idea i like the best , is from SIM79 , its neat and tidy looking
