beadlocks

Post by NICK »

went and order my beadlocks today,

i could have got any thickness i wanted up to 15mm for the inner and outer rings and any number of bolts i wanted up to 36.

the locks have a height of 50mm and take 10mm flush mounted allen head bolts.

so i went with........

ROH 22mm offset wheels

12mm inner with a 6mm bead seat.

10mm alloy outer (for weight) with a 2mm seat so the rim has a mounting face of 8mm.

20 bolts

good bad thickness? number of bolts, your thoughts?

Nick what did you end up paying for them. :?:

8 mm seat, does that mean the bead is going to squash down to 8 mm too. :?:

Why only 20 bolts, why not 36 (less torque is required for same amount contact pressure) was there a huge differance in price :?:

Do you have a picture :?:

And finally where did you get them from :?:

too many questions there adrain.

i didnt get 36 cause it would have cost about 15 bucks more and apparntly it is harder to get them to seal, i talked to afew people about them and i was advised between 16-24 was the best amount, so i went with 20, down the middle, i originally went with 24 but with some thought changed it to 20.

with the 8mm seat, yes that means that the bead is going to squash down to 8mm, most are only 5 and dont ream the outer ring that 2mm either.

No picture, if i had taken my digital i could have got some, but they are a strong tuff looking beadlock.

the price mmmmmmm yeah about that :D :D :D
