can some one who has done a chop and had it engineered let me know what the engineer is looking for to pass it

Try calling the engineer you plan on using, he's the only one who's opinion counts on this matter.

Basically, as long as your lift/tyres are within reason, rear tail lights on the tray meet ADR's and the cab is suitably braced where it's chopped and body mounts arn't affected, then you should be fine mate.

Mine's not done yet but has had one inspection already. ;)

I found all of the engineers we looked at to have different expectations. It is worth while to ring around first, steer clear of the dodgy ones who'll pass anything as it may come back and bite you.

The man I used was reputable but also realistic (except for wanting truck brush in the arches :shock: )....... and try get one local so if you do have a problem you don't have to drive half a day to get there.
