With the new set of injectors came a small silver cupped washer which goes at the very tip of the nozzle in the head. Does the flat side of the washer go towards the washer or the head?
Thanks

TD42 cupped injector washer - which way up?
Re: TD42 cupped injector washer - which way up?
I normally put the flat side to the head, but either way it will make little difference.
They get squashed to about 70% of their original once the injectors are done up.
Most of the ones I pull out are some up some down...

The flame and compression washers are copper and it doesn't matter which way they go. It sounds like you have toyota steel heat shields. I personally would be asking for the correct units.

I think he does have the right ones Andy, I think its mostly the aftermarket seals that use the convex top and flat bottom though.

Like andy said get the proper ones as this helps take the heat from the nozzleDzltec wrote:The flame and compression washers are copper and it doesn't matter which way they go. It sounds like you have toyota steel heat shields. I personally would be asking for the correct units.
