Wiring spotlights into 80 series

Post by stilivn »

Ok so I have got a wiring loom with a switch, problem is the high beams are negative switched so power is always on to both terminals when car lights are on. Now my guess would be to wire the -ve on the switch to the terminal that switches off and the positive to the one that is always on. Only worry is that if I have 2 possitives connected will it burn out my wires. What have others done.

Ok well I gave it a go and wired the earth off the relay to the terminal on the spotlight that looses voltage when the highbeams are turned on and guess what....It worked  . Hope its not going to cause any other electrical problems.
