40 Series axle widening

Post by Narrowscopeofreality »

I realise there's been a few threads about this subject, and i've read them all, but my question is a bit more specific.

The widening method on the front axle using IFS hubs WITH hub spacer.

In a stock setup the rotor is pretty much shielded by the wheel, has anyone had any issues with how far the wheel is now spaced out from the rotor? eg rock damage ect.

Cheers

Ive run 3" spacers and offset rims for some time now, the brake disk is about 3" outside the wheel.

Ive hit it on occasions but has caused no issues. You would have to be real unlucky to smash a rotor that bad.

with -35 offset or whatever the normal sunnys are the rotor is still well protected, would be unlucky to hit anything there.
