rear GU/GQ tailshaft

Post by Cokeaddict »

Anyone know if the rear GU Tailshaft is the same as the GQ one for a LWB 4.2D. Gotta replace uni's and i think it would be cheaper to get a GU one from a wrecker. Plus the fact that the slide shaft would probably have less wear than my GQ one has.
Anyone..?

Yeh Turps i know mate but they dont last long. I have replaced 4 in the past 3 years. Seems I always end up with one cone that gets lumpy. Have tried Repco and supercheap ones.
Was thinking if i find a GU with low kms, I can get me a tailshaft with its genuine uni's still on it that will last for a few years (being the original nissan ones). Plus the fact that the slide shaft will not have as much wear as mine does....could be a plus for vibrations.
