Hey all,
Looking at making myself a 4" alley snorkle on my GQ patrol. Was going to place it down the front of the A pillar towards the windscreen. Basicaly the same thing as Patrol Docta have done. Cutting in thru the bonnet.
My question is has anyone got any info as to wether our friendly boys in blue or department of transport would have a problem with that placement regarding impairing vision or any bullshit like that??
Has anyone had any problems or know of any such law?????

I figured department of transport would be the issue.
Thats why I asked has anyone had any problems with the coppers or department of transport.
Seems out of all the highly opinionated forum members no one has any input.

Ive never had an issue, and mine is run down the A pillar and then enters the guard at the front.
However, by rights, when building a 6 point cage, you have to be able to see the pillar each side of the cage, ie, it doesnt change visibility, with a 4" snorkel, its always going to be visible, wider than the pillar, so if they wanted to split hairs, it probably could be defected, likely hood? slim. Ive had mine for years

Re: 4" Snorkle position. Legal question.
The last truck I built up had same position although I went in at the back of the guard.
Was trying to keep it up out of the way by going down the front of the pillar and into top corner of bonnet. Haven't cut any wholes yet but.
