G52 Bellhousings (and W series)

Post by ToNkA »

I need to know what bellhousings bolt up to the G52Box, as I need one to fit the 1ggze engine. I know that the 1ggze bolts up the g52 as a mates bundy bolts up, but he didnt do the conversion and aint sure what was used.

Anyone out there know anything?

Can someone tell me about W series boxes and their difference to the G52? Someone said that I can use the W series bellhousing on my G52 and it will bolt to the 1ggze.

g52 has different gear ratios to the w56/57/58 and i dont dont know much about different strength levels.

http://www.4wd.net.nz/suprasurf_part2.htm has the three compared, im pretty sure that the one which he is talking about that doesnt fit the m series is the one for you.(the middle one)

they should be easier to find than the m series.

Was the 1g-gze a manual? If so its bellhousing will bolt up to the g52 gearbox.

The 1GGZE never came manual from the factory, only auto. Both the 1GGTE and 1GGE came as manual and auto

In that case I'd be willing to bet (ziltch) that the 1g-gze and the 1g-geu share the same block and crank.
Send Mike (SupraSurf) an email via his website, he'll clear the matter up.

All the 1G series share the same block/bellhousing bolt pattern, but the cranks are different (same flywheel mounting tho).

Tonka,
ddeane on toymods has a 1G bellhousing for sale, might pay to send him a private message

Hey Tonka,

The 1GGTE engine that I put in my bundy previously used the w-series box and the bellhousing bolted straight up to my G52.

1GGTE Engine -> 1GGTE Bellhousing -> G52 Gearbox....etc

The bundy had a 22R engine, 2.4L Petrol.

Cheers Mate.

Nick
