Crankshaft seal on G16B

Post by roadrunner »

Anyone know of a way to get the timing belt sprocket off of the crankshaft.

Tried using just about everything in the tool box short of the gas axe. :x

Manual says use a chain ratchet to hold the sprocket in place when you crack the nut but that didn't work either :?

Is the bolt usually this tight or what am I doing wrong

use a breaker bar that is long enough to reach ur chassis but be carefull doin this, position the bar with socket attached , and bar hrd up against the chassis jump in the rooster pit and give her a crank , make sure u take ur plug leads off and make sure u got the bar ont he propper side so wen u crank it loosens the bolt instead of tightens

Umm,

Luckily I don't have a breaker bar long enough !

Although if my new chain ratchet doesn't work I'll give it a go with a bit of tube over my small breaker bar for length.

I mean, what could possibly go wrong :D

Thanks Bazooked
