big end is usually 1hd-t's. apparently toyota used cheaper bearings in the early 1hd-t's (ex toyota service mechanic i used to work for, loyal to the brand still, just let me in on the little issues)
Big end's usually go when oil pressure drop's all u need to do is put a new oil pressure relief valve they are cheap and usually bring the pressure back up.

Mines done 370000k's and still uses no oil and gets 7.8kml running 33's. Staeting to get a bit grumbly in 4-5 gear so a gearbox rebuild will be on the cards soon..
93 1HZ Troopy Double Locked, Lifted and Gassed with NO Benefits by D-GAS
Mates 1HZ has done 230,000kms. Last 40,000km with 1HD-T fuel pump, turbo and cam. Smashed the cam 10,000 ago and rolled in new bearing shells at the same time. Runs variable boost....about 12-20psi depending if its competition or highway running.
