60 series diff conversion

Post by brighty »

anyone know of different diff housings that are slightly wider than the stocko 60 series???

Am thinking of Patrol so I can convert to coils and have rear discs too. I know anything is possible with the right $$$. Just after some info so I can do a bit of research for future mods.

Cheers,
Brighty.

you can winden your existing rear by using 80 series spindles, and get disk brakes by using the 80 series disks etc, need to fabricate brackets though I think.

on the front it should be possible to do the hilux IFS hub conversion.

alternatively you could get a set of 80 series axles complete and sling them under there. If you want to go patrol then you'll need to get GU axles to go up in strength from the 60 series gear.

Have already looked into the 80series + hilux IFS conversion stuff. Still not sure what to do, hence why I'm asking about patrol stuff instead. Considering all options......

Can anyone tell me, is the GU track width wider/skinnier than the 60 series cruiser???
