Hi guys, I made a long search with no results
I would like to swap a 4Y petrol engine by a 3L diesel. So questions are:
- What do I need to swap it? (My 4Y is married with a G52 tranny)
- Which are the stock R&P for a 3L equipped toy? (I have 4.88)
- Any other issue that will hep me?

i have a 3L without a turbo, and its slow as a wet week. i have only done short distance towing, about 5 kms which is towing my mate's 1.5 tonne ski boat, and its ok untill you get anywhere that slightly resembles a hill and you have to downgear like a truckie. i wouldn't recommend it as a tow rig engine. go for a commo V6 or something with some balls

Dunno what's been done to my 3L, it's not a turbo but it gets around OK. I towed a car trailer with a 5 cylinder Deutz deisel motor and frame and another 2 cylinder Deutz motor with 28kva generator with a stack of other stuff, must've weighed about 1.5 tonne or more cos it pushed the truck around heaps when towing. This got towed 1000km no probs, could still manage 110kn/h on flats, however the hills saw me doing down to 40km/h sometimes.
