Couldn't you just buy a roll of gasket paper and draw a stencil on it and cut it out? I had to do that for a water pump gasket recently on a different car.

rob, you can use the type of gasket that comes in a tube. says to leave a 1/8" bead all the way around the oil pan and then you put it on. ive done this and no dramas so far. the end pieces that your talking about are made of some compound that you can reuse as long as they are not cracked and are in decent shape. if they're not, then you gotta replace em because then once you fix the gasket, it'll jus leak out of the next weak spot.

Anyone know what you would call these "end pieces"? i asked the bloke at rares today he had no idea... I suspect that may be the source of my leak...

they are rubber/neoprene end gaskets (front and rear sump seal), i reused mine with some Ultra Grey smeared on them.
none of the programs i have at work show them, must be a genuine part only.
