the marks fit on my bundera g52 to 350 late was perfect and all good, the fit was ok but it was to be expected as its a hilux kit. the information is just plain shit and needs to be thrown as it just make the situation worse. 90% of the instructions is either incorrect like (needs new sump as diff will hit - not even close) or in the wrong order and you asseble something and have to take it off to do the next step.
the gen 3 kit is just the worst thing i have ever seen in this game bar nothing. I am genuinly concerned that i will regret the kit after the first day of the obc. the spigot shaft is machined too deep and a plug is pressed into it to stop end float - how bogdge it that! the centre bearing that holds the spigot and the release bearing extension has around 6mm of freeplay and needs to be aligned by guess, as it is a blind fit. the slide bearing is held on by 4 bolts. that shits me the centre bearing should press in and rely on the casting dowels for alignment. if the stupid spider web of ally stress cracks it will throw the entire rotating setup out.
it was that bad that i was thinking of sending it back and doing it myself bubs style. the instructions as to what plate, flywheel etc left me unsure if each step was right. the fittings for the oil gague etc are all good and well but why would i want a nissan sender on a chev - they would run at different temps and you know a temp gague is set to indicate at degrees close to that engine not a chev. the bellhousing missed some vital bolt holes, had 20mm holes through the side that let shit into the clutch and were supplied in s/steel notr high tensile as well as being no automotive heads meaning i have to carry 2 more spanners in the toolkit. i am sure s/steel is good in the vibration and constant movement of its job not to mention heat cycling etc where it expands twice as much as steel
i made my own body mounts too.
what shits me the most is that many people cannot afford the hidden expenses of such a conversion why do they not say you need custom headers, reprogrammed computer to make it run, that the a/c won't fit, that you need a seperate fuel pump etc as the commodore will not fit ointo a steel tank etc. i my eyes if it were my company i would give away a few free kits for r and d - as soon as a conversion is done find out the steps, where things go, what radiator and hoses are needed etc, part numbers etc. how hard is it really to cut and paste a customers answers into their site or have a forum etc.
the dual cases were ok but they simplify everthing by saying cheezy does a high crossmember etc not saying why. also the circlip had to be filed down and chiseled into position as the maching was .5mm out on the lay shaft.
I would look very hard elsewhere for components first and use them as a last resort.
I am aware of bagging a company on a forum but i know of another disgruntled dual owner and many disgruntled engine conversion owners
