Sometimes they even suck nice neat little round bits of rubber out of the pipes Apart from the expensive silicone pipe fix, or the aluminium pipe route, would it be possible to put a sturdy spring inside the pipe to keep it from being sucked in. A mate has told me that he has seen it done on other types of pipes, something to do with the radiator I think. If the spring was the right size and made of strong stuff that wouldn't collapse on itself, would this be feasible?
Any thoughts on this theory? I am probably trying to invent the wheel again here, but I havnt really done much under the bonnet before.
