Problem with transfer case on NJ Pajero

Post by Dash007 »

G'Day all, I have a 94 Pajero.
My problem is that when I am in low 4 going up hill it is fine but when i'm coming down in low 4 it wants to pop out of low  .
Can anyone help me ? Or what would a 2nd hand 1 cost ?
Cheers Dash.

I reckon it's the transfer lever is being pushed back by the console/ tranie tunnel - could happen if you've done a body lift or your gearbox mounts are stuffed

What do you mean? Adjust what? Or should I send it to Pajero heaven?

Theres a whole heap of parts that could be worn in the selector. But if you have it fixed it should be good for another 12years.

there is a pin in the shifter rail it may be to far in or not far enough in it happened to a guy here after his tranny was rebuilt you can see the pin if you pull the cover off the top of the t-case were the shifter goes in.
