2" lift from Maverick on Nissan?
2" lift from Maverick on Nissan?
Was told the 2" lift from Ford Maverick 93 TD42 will fit on mine 98 Patrol TD28. The left and right front spring from the lift are different, left one is shorter about 20mm. The factory springs on mine Patrol are the same lenght. Will it really fit or the axle on Maverick is different? Thanks for help.

on most aftermarket springs the right hand springs are 10 mm longer and the springs are the same for mavrick/patrol/diesel/petrol.
try the kings springs website and check the part numbers for yourself.
have new computer with no favorites list, so from memory i think their site is www.kingsprings.com.au

Yep, does sound like the shop is having a lend. I'd find a new shop... unless they were meaning that the carpet is different - hence the weight dissimilaraties...

Oh, so now mister 3.0td wants some serious tech, does he? (Sorry, had to say it)
I'm just glad I don't have to put up with Nissan Australia. At least Nissan UK recall our trucks rather than have us all complaining on fourums like whinging Australians do. If you call spacers serious tech then you have some way to go.
I can't wait till we have our arses kicked in the world cup.
edit: fixed some sporting issues for you

Listen mate, you are quickly losing friends. It doesn't matter if someone wanted the time of day on this site, I would have the time to answer them. Tanky had a question (just because it wasn't SERIOUS TECH to you big boy) that he didn't know the answer to, the people that had something positive to contribute did. You p!ss everyone off with your useless posts, its a pretty gutless thing to talk tough from the other side of the world. If you want to post crap - post it in the chit chat forum, not in the brand related tech forums.

The badges are different I am of the belief that the nissan badges up until 1993 were lighter plastic, but the fords used a metal oval. This is the cause of the weight difference..... Oh and most of the mavs had discs rear.... some of the patrols didn't.... They are the same car though!
hands and mums dont count!!!

yeah, most of the little differences stem from the fact that ford never released a pov-pack spec maverick.
I've just had a chat with an R&D technician at Lovells and he confirmed that:
- the 2" raised suspension kits for LWB Patrols are the same for the Maverick, the GQ and GU (petrol & diesel).
- the front coils are different in length (2mm difference); longer coil to be mounted on the right hand side. this is to offset the heavier load on the right hand side of the vehicle.
Cheers

2" kit for a mav/patrol here if any one is interested
