NP435 (NP= New Process)
6.69:1 1st
3.34:1 2nd
1.66:1 3rd
1.00:1 4th
8.26:1 reverse

4wd and 2wd are the same box except 2wd has shorter output shaft.

Cheers

:? you taking the piss ?

The 302 is a ford motor of 8 cylinders, It looks like two 4 cylinder mtrs joined together in a V configuration. It has a capacity of 302 cubic inches.
Came out in a lot of different fords.

Gee, sorry about the poor humour.... but yours could be a 302 windsor if it has been modified, or is an import, or could be a 302 clevo. Good thing about 302 clevo's is they were only made here, so no-one across the pond believe they exist.
In fact, my Aussie only lists the 302 clevo for the 1974 - 1977 model F100, and it comes with the T18 gearbox, if I read it correctly.
The 250 and 5.8 come with the np 435 box, with the following ratio's:

1st 6.69
2nd 3.34
3rd 1.79
4th 1.00
rev 8.26

the 1974 - 1977 F250 4x4 had the 1.66 3rd gear, as previously stated

Sorry, but I only really play with auto's, and the best bit in my opinion, in a F truck application, about 302 clevo's is that they can hide a 351 crank really easily, or that a 400 will fit with only bellhousing and engine mounts.

Whatever  :finger:

I'm now the proud owner of a NP435
Fark me - it's one serious piece of metal  6.69:1 first gear  I just hope it can handle the power of a holden 202  (also hope it can be adapted)

Thanks.

Bill has either a T18 or an NP435 in his IIA, behind a 2.25 petrol, and with a series T-case. I think he once mentioned how he did the conversion. He only seems to post on pirate these days, under the name Agrover.

Also, if I remember correctly, Sam overton had either a T18 or an NP435 in the first iteration of the mogrover, with a rover V8 and an LT95 T-case (combined case cut in half). So I think it can handle the power of a 202!!!

Anyway - forgot to say - good move!

Hi Ben - yeah the C4 was going to cost big$$$$ Picked up this cheap and looks to be in great condition.

I'm going to look into the np205 t-case (hopefully the 2wd np435 can fit. I know nothing about these yankie things) or keep the series case.

up to the nineties (I think) or at least the last of the CJ's and full size Jeep stuff was the correct (right) side, so a Dana 20, 300, etc go the 'right' way.
