Is it Injectors ???

Post by lostboy »

Hi....I have a problem and I would like to know if anybody here can help me...no not that sort of problem...

I have a 93 V6 SWB Jackaroo, its great, I love it, but it has this annoying sort of hesitation as you power on through the gears (eg from a standing start up to cruising speed), seems to be around the 2500 to 3000 RPM range, :?

As the engine goes through this rev range it seems to hesitate or flutter, its a bit like a flat spot but very slight, just enough to annoy me.
I have changed the plugs, I did a service on it as soon as I could and used good oil and filters, I am starting to think its the injectors but I thought I would see if anybody has any other tips or ideas on how to fix the problem, before I go and spend $750000.00 unnecessarily.

Any help with this problem will be greatly appreciated, even if it does cost me money.....

Thank you

Check your intake air temp sensor. Have seen Rodeo's with the 6vd1 motor develop flatspots and hesitations from faulty IAT sensors.

Use to have heaps of problems with coolant temp sensors and there conectors on this engine. Would make engine very rich intermitently and would roun rough of flat spot. Some blew puffs of black smoke at the same time. Good luck.
