high mount how much $$$$????

Post by mule75 »

a mate has a m8274 high mount which he doesn't want anymore and i am going to to take it off his hands. what would one be worth 2nd hand? it is an early model (late 80's) and has an oil leak so i guess i'll be putting a kit thru it. it also has half a drum of cable which will be getting replaced too.
thanks, Dan.

I sold my older style high mount for $500. It needed a few things done to get it working again. I didn't have the time to do them so..

Give him $200 and a carton if you feel bad. You may find real beat up ones for $300 or so, but never for $100.

I don't think he's complaining, I think he's saying he thinks his mate is being too generous..?

I would just say, "are you sure?" a few times, give him the hundred, and take it :)
This is not legal advice.

Tell him you think it's worth a bit more than that, Give him a cupla hunjy and some boxes and promise to pull him out with it when he's stuck

What would it be worth to "run a kit through" a highmount? i.e. get one like this up to scratch.
Is it all stuff i could probably do myself? (i'm alright at working on things...)
