Hey all,

Just a quick question regarding the swaybars.

Can u take both the front and rear off all 2gether? or can u encounter problems with the rest of the car?

If u can has anyone done this? is the car still reasonably stable on-road or is it impossible to drive round with them off?

It will only be short term till i can affort disco's.

My dad has a wrangler with 2 inch lift, 31's and adjustable shocks and with the disconects out and the shocks on the stiffest you nearly got see sick going around the block! So that lasted about 3 days till he got a new pin!

Not sure about the back though.

leave the rear on otherwise it gets a little tippy if you must extend the links on the rear and disco the front
a tj is not safe with both front and rear off at speeds over 60km

The rear sway bar is pretty thin and only marginally limits the wheel travel if you have the croorect link lengths. I'd recommend keeping the rear attached because not only is it road legal then, but it will work better offroad. The rear connected will help the (disconnected) front flex more proportionally to the rear and it will be more stable.

For the front - swaybar disconnects are cheap and work. You'll be legal on rad and would sway all over the place, and with a pull of a pin you'll get loads of wheel travel.

Preety simple, proven and logical setup ;)

di you mean disconnecting the sawaybar or having the quick disconnects, so they are only disconnected for off road use?
