What size tyres can we fit

Post by 88pajero »

My brother inlaw has a stock 2002 model sr5 lux and he wants to put 32s under it. I was confident that he can but want some confirmation first. Will they fit under stock or will we need to do a 1-2in body lift?
Jabber gone. Now have 98 nissan terrano and a 94 4.2ldiesel rv troopy on 33s slowly getting the fancy bits. How the hell do I change my user name?

Tell him they will. If they hit he has to lift the cab at the end of the day it might cost a bit more to do the lift But then he's got 32's on it and should be happy :) and most likely thank you for pushing him into doing it.

I run 265/75/16 (31.73 inches) cooper ST's on my 01 lux with 2" lift in the back and the torsion bars wound up in the front about 1" 1/2 and it only just scrubs when I've got full compression and full lock at the same time.

We have decided to go with the body lift so that we avoid all probs. Just one question about the body lift, do we use the same bodyblocks for the tray as we do the the body or are there some different ones to use? He uses the canopy at all times so he would like the canopy to remain flush with the roof.

I'd just use steel box section the same hight on it's side as the body lift beats forking out for extra blocks when it''s probablty cost less than half to use box say cab lift is 2inch use 50x50 box if you want to add strenght cap both ends of it mine never were and didn't bend
