toyota 4x4 ifs torsion bar adjustment
can anyone tell me how to loosen the torsion bars so I can replace the control arm bushings
Depending on what year IFS, you need to jack up the front so the axles droop fully, place the jack under the front crossmember the unscrew the torsion arm adjusters that are located under the body near the B pillar. You might need to put a spanner on top of the adjuster if its an early model, just remember to count the turns so you can crank it back up again or you can go for a rim to fender measurement of @ 14-14.5".
