What year gq is it? The later series 2 gq has bigger brakes that still fit in a 15" rim. The 4.8 gu has bigger brakes again but pretty sure you need a 16" rim. Jimbo, I have 17" rims, so does this mean the 4.8 gu will fit following the above procedure? My brakes suck ass also. Cheers

You do not need Ackermann steering. Ackermann steering only has an affect at low speeds. A vehicle with Ackermann steering arms, will not exhibit Akerman steering at higher speeds.
