Baleno motor to Vit
Please excuse my engine ignorence but it has been hard to find the answers I need. Long and short of it i need a new motor for the Vitara as I just cant justify rebuilding, i know i will get carried away and that is not the point of this build. I have established that if I use a Baleno motor in a ...

Be careful with this mod, the seats in a 2 door rangie are part of the integral roll system. They are the strongest and heaviest part of the car for a reason, you didnt think all that glass and pissy little pillars were going to save you in a roll over did you? Definatly fit the cage. I did a sports ...

RJ70 front diff question
Yeah I know search, done that and cant find what I need. Can anyone tell me if a cruiser (80 series) front centre (3rd) will go into an RJ70. I ask because a mate just bought a set of lux 4.8's for his RJ, the rear is fine but the front carrier has different webbing and interfears with the track rod ...

So the guy that wired mine up must have been an ex-employee from the good ole prince of darkness. So heres the issue/s - Out truckin on day when all of a sudden the rear wiper and posum ...

I have very recently decided to bite the bullet and join the GQ contingency. I got myself a dual fuel carb model because the price was very right. Personally I think it is great, tuned for gas (so runs a little shitty on petrol but well enough) and the power is much better than my last rig. Go with ...

I have a 96 4.6 HSE, it is getting up around the 260,000 mark now and all that it has had replaced is the airbags, and they are not expensive if you shop around. It has all the bells and whisles and not one electrical problem yet (touch wood). I think that buying a rangie is something you can not ...

Thanks for the heads up guys, I am still looking XJ you got mail. I am really after a 98-2000 prefer leather too, I want a few comforts in this one, since the lux has none. As for the guard cutting to fit 33's, I have no dramas with that in fact it is the missus biggest fear. I have driven a few now ...

Thanks steve that seems to make a bit of sense, come to think of it the fuel light was coming on as we went back to the yard. I also noticed the gearbox wine more after testing it in low range. Might have to go test a few more and see where we lie. I guess the autos would be fairly easy to pick up ...

Looking at an XJ need some advise
A newbie to jeeps I may just be yet, I would like another RR but the missus wont let me because I wont be able to leave it alone. Sooo... Been looking at an XJ for the missus (we are about to have a kid) and she has got herself set on the jeep. Took it for a test drive and noticed a few things I ...

John, all that you have posted from Millliken has its merits but I think you will also find that, and as you stated (race cars) is relivent to vehicles that have independant front ends be it macphersons or otherwise. As these front ends react in a different way due to weight transfer thus effecting ...

You do not need Ackermann steering. Ackermann steering only has an affect at low speeds. A vehicle with Ackermann steering arms, will not exhibit Akerman steering at higher speeds. Reverse Ackermann can be an advantage offroad. See section 19.2 in Race Car Vehicle Dynamics by Milliken and Milliken ...

Yes I do, and no the hole is not offset. If i drew a line down the centre of the 4 knuckle mounting holes then i would end up in the middle of the hole for the track rod (maybe these ones were samples hence the price). Not to worry, we have spoken to our machinest and we are going to make our own ...

Hi-steer acheman
I am looking for a hi-steer kit for the new toy (puslux) and everything I seem to find has no acheman (spelling) on them.
Is anyone aware of any arms that have the correct acheman angle, this thing will also be a daily driver so I need correct geometry?

I put 4 door internals and mirrors into the 2 door door, so it has to be modified anyway. Thanks for the reply non the ...
