Re: 60 Series Vacuum pump issues

thanks for your help guys, ended up sorting this out yesterday.

had a good look at the system and realized that the artard i bought it off had
left one of the small vacuum lines off and it was tucked away under the fuel pump. :bad-words:

Re: 60 Series Vacuum pump issues

How much vacuum is it producing? I get a solid 23'' out of mine now and the brakes are much better, was due to dodgy lines, on my 13BT it is lubed by engine oil. haven't had a vacuum gauge on it, just pulled line off at pump and it just sucks very weak. will try and get a gauge on it and see what i...

Re: 60 Series Vacuum pump issues

Assuming that you've checked ALL the hoses for leaks and topped up the fluid, I'd try this with it before pulling it out and rebuilding it. Now I'll be honest and say I've never had one apart before, but the first thing that comes to mind is lubrication. The internals may have run dry and the vanes...

your idle is just the bolt that adjusts your throttle cable spring back and forth..

Re: CT20 turbo only boosting too 3-4psi (pics)

whats the turbo off (or vechils its meant for) ?? CT20 is used on several vehicles including petrols. theres a few variations. i don't know if the exhaust housing is different for the petrol ones. supposively for the 2.4 hilux surf (2L). I dont think its a turbo problem anymore, think its a fuel pr...

Re: CT20 turbo only boosting too 3-4psi (pics)

So i need to block off the hole in the top of the INTAKE MANIFOLD and run a new hose from the rocker cover to a part of the intake that isnt pressurised, or into a catch can and then into a NON pressureised intake? Could not having this set up properly be causing the boost problem? yes you need to ...

Re: CT20 turbo only boosting too 3-4psi (pics)

i wouldnt think the piping is too large.. That should not make a difference. Question, have you actually taken it for a drive? as most ct20s wont boost more than 4- 5psi with no load. where are you checking your boost from,(intake manifold?) ditch the crappy boost controller and take it for a drive....

you must make sure that your breather hose is the same diameter, not smaller , as this will restrict your breather flow. As you have said you have it reducing down to 3/4 the size of breather vent. there is a heap of info on these problems on the toyota surf forum.. it might pay to have a browse the...

sc12 or sc14 old toyota superchargers have been used personally i would not bother as it is a massive stuff around turbo's run so much better on a 2.8 and easy and cheaper, and you dont have to fluck around with different size pulleys to adjust your boost.. and they are so straight forward to setup,...

i have also heard that you can get a fitting from turbo glide, that they use in their kits

that apparently just punches itself into the sump and thats it.
