Should you be looking for similar temperatures post turbo for a petrol engine? Or do the max egt temps vary between diesel and petrol?

I second Bigears costing

Just completed this conversion aswell, the costing that bigears has detailed is pretty close to the mark. In this sort or application it is best to go with the good stuff, with the increased demand placed on the engine you want to build it tough. My thoughts anyways. All the best with the conversion ...

the main reason is to monitor the temp of components exhaust side of the engine, i am assuming that the EGT is looking only at the temperature of the exhaust gases. I think that the idea of mounting directly to the manifold would be looking at the temps of the manifold etc to make sure your not ...

I have been trying to get the factory locker on my 88 GQ working, with limited luck. It seems that the vacuum systen is operating properly, i believe the problem lies in the pin that engages the locker.
