Does this sound ok? Diff question.

I just picked up a new used GQ LWB yesterday. In testing on a concrete car park if I do tight figure 8's in 2wd everything seems ok. If I do the same in 4wd with the hubs locked the rear wheels drag like there is a locker in the back. It seems fine on the straights. Any idea why this happens? Does ...

as far as i knew, they have only unlocked the EA falcon computers, and no where near the BF/BA/AU computers It is definitely sorted now. I know of 2 EB falcons with a BA engine running the BA ECU. One of them sells kits for the conversion including the flash tuned ECU. http://www.fordmods.com/ford ...

The other thing that might be an issue is that the ford engine is a front sump setup whereas the patrol is a rear sump.

The dellow site doesnt mention anything about it though.

Power is good. I just put a turbo on my TB42 and am loving it.

Dellow does a conversion kit. The hard part is getting the standard wiring to work without all the security business. You would need to run the electronic throttle pedal. Because of the dual VCT it is a complicated motor for an aftermarket ECU to run. The stock ECU is the best bet. A mob in belgrave ...

Yeah they are good things.

I had a go at a megasquirt once using EDIS on a BA motor.

I got the thing to fire but stuffed something up because it wouldnt run.

The microtech worked perfect on the EF, I'd use it again.

Do you think mud would bother those sensors? They are fairly out in the open on a falcon.

I had a microtech from my EF and thought about fitting it using a falcon ignition setup but put it in the too hard basket and sold the ECU.

I had radial claws and thought they were terrible. Mine were 35/12.5/15's and pretty much brand new. In gravel and wet roads they would tram line/understeer pretty badly around corners at any decent speed. They couldnt be driven on fast without the fear of running straight when you wanted to turn ...

Found it! Thanks guys.

The number I was looking at was on the passenger side of the block.

The number is behind and below the dizzy cap, and the number is facing the sky.

Its as plain as day once you find it.

Is it the 5 digit number next to the dizzy on the block?

It doesnt match my rego sticker so Im unsure.

Ive got a big boss compressor and 15 litre tank too. It took bloody ages (4 or so minutes) to pump up from 0 to the 150psi cutoff but takes less than half the time to reach 100psi which is what the airlockers like. It recharges in about 30 seconds using the 100psi cutoff switch which Im happy with ...

Standard LPG tank mounting in GQ

Has anyone broken off their mounts before? The 2 front mounts snapped off the chassis on me the other night which saw the tank hanging 6 inches lower than normal. Its a shorty GQ. Could this noise be my starter motor?

GQ mav 4.2 petrol. I got my clutch done on Friday by a workshop. Ive done maybe 30kms since. I took it for a short drive and the noise ...

Overflow bottle - is it needed?

The lid on my overflow bottle seems to have a 1 way valve in it. I cant blow air through both ways.

It lets water from the rad to the bottle but not the other way around. Do I really need it if all it does is catch coolant?

It would be nice to remove it so I have more space for an airbox.

Yep, the TAC doesnt give a stuff as long as your rego is paid. They fix you up and dont care who was at fault. I got hit by a car in May and knocked off my motorbike. TAC covered the ambo ride, all medical expenses and no questions were asked about what mods the bike had. They make it very clear ...
