By the way what sort of fuel ecomony are you getting from your 76 series? I've only done 1200 km (both country and city) and I'm so far averaging 10.5 lt per 100km which in my book is outstanding

There is no point buying the centres from Toyota, as the housings are different for the fctory lockers to standard.

You would be better off buying 80 series factory locked diffs and cutting off the bracketry and retro-fitting to yours.

They are electrically actuated, running on vacume pressure solinoides.

i have them in my GXL ute and they shit all over my old ailrockers in my previous vehicles.

Good points:
Never not work, no excessive time delay when you turn them on, no diff oil smell from compressor, well protected on ...

My old FJ73 onto an 80 series chassi, running supercharged 5 litre, t700 auto and gq transfer, all driveline has been lifted to porvide a flat belly.

Modded 80 diffs front and rear, standard 3 link front and "A" frame rear.

I was the first one to purchase a V8 ute from ferntreegully Toyota, in vic.
I bought it October 2007 and it now has 80,000 km and hasn't missed a beat. i tow a 2.5 tonne tool trailer with it just about every day and it craps on pretty much anything other than a chev or a f100 as far as towing goes ...

love how the hawse is bolted on but the mount is pot riveted.

No they are only bolt heads to save on weight the thread has been cut off as its too heavy, and he used some pva glue (due to its lightness) to hold the alloy hawse to the chequerplate whcih does kinda resemble the inside of an old ...

The channel you bought is called a PFC (Parrallel flanged channel) it should of atleast been T5 or higher ...

I have an asus eeepc there 8gig harddrive, i use it for doing quotes and invoices on the move, they don't have a cd drive you have to use an external usb type device i have 2 other mates that have them and they have theres set up primarily for GPS capabilites, and they are cheap mine cost $475

Articulation/flex does not equate to go offroad abilty very often, you live in melbourne, there is sweet F all rock around to drive on the amount of flex you are getting now is more than enough, get some lockers and forget about trying to make it flex like it has a "A" frame or coils or whatever ...
