Do it, you will love it. I run a Falcon compressor and it has lasted around 8 years by pumping a little grease in ever now and then, it is only just now getting noisy.

Re: Comp truck lid

For Masters last year I did 3mm Alloy sheet. I got a half sheet and had them cut it to 1200x900, I wanted it to go from side rail above door to other side and from screen to roll bar with no gaps and to look like a normal roof. After marking one side where it needed rolling I placed the sheet with ...

Been a while but from memory the cable won't fit into a wide track lever (some 1.3 cases still had transfer brake, maybe all NT cases??) Get the lever as well to be sure. I would look at all options for rear discs like the Subaru, Nissan etc. I had the Sierra discs on the rear with Vitara vented ...

Have we got the results? Shaun and John John drove excellently so wouldn't be surprised if they took out that round. But also Denny and Charles were rather impressive so it would've been close. That was my first time out at the Masters, very impressed with the tracks. Big variety of terrain. Makes ...

Re: Making a frame to install after market seat

ARB and others sell frames for their seats that are approved. Most aftermarket seats use a common rail spacing and mounting system. You will need an engineers app to make you own. Bazzle Even if using the "approved" mounts you will still need to have it certified in your vehicle. (NSW Definatly ...

Remove all carpet and underlay and strip any underlay from the back of the carpet, then using soapy water and a scrubbing brush wash carpet and hose of then hang out to dry (will take 1-2 days depending on weather) then visit a local trimmer and buy some new underlay and cut to size and glue back in ...

Re: DIY Storage drawers carpet advice

I would use an unbacked carpet or boot liner, it will make life a heap easier and if glued using a spray contact adhesive will last a long time and look neater. It is made of the same material as marine carpet which generally has a heavier backing and a slightly higher UV rating both of which are ...

Looks OK. An option for mounts are the Honda engine mount, these will give you a 25mm lift only but are bolt in and seem to be quite strong.

Just got back from diff place and when they set it up to check it they said it was not bent, so we removed the bearing and all was revealed. I have a Bundeera rear diff in a Sierra, I have just discovered that the short side axle is rather bent, (been blaming Silverstones for being out of round...) just wondering if a Vitara brake booster will fit in to a sierra Yes it will fit.. sort of... How long is temporary? 1 week or 1 year?
Contact adhesive is what you need, apply to both surfaces and let it get tacky then stick, but it wont weather well and exposure and glue quality will dictate how long it holds.

If its the long type of temporary then urethane will work but very messy.

Car polish can be used, also Mr Sheen, there are proper clear polishes but they tend to be pricey. If it is quite bad have a trimmer replace the window (~$120) or get a buff and cutting compound an buff it like you would on paint.
