Re: Tuff Truck Challange 8-9-10th April 2011

First time we have been to Tuff Truck. Kids loved it, was well organised and loads of action. Every event has different levels of skilled drivers. Its great to see the ones who really know what they are doing and make a course look easy and of course its fun seeing the ones who don't and stuff it up ...

Thanks Stirlo for a excellent weekend. They were the best technical stages I have ever raced in, also a great bunch of competitors, top event we had a ball. Cheers Mike and Samantha (my 15 year old daughter/navi was rapt in getting 5th place)

All sounds good so far. On the GPS stages, I think you should give them a miss. Purchasing a GPS unit is a cost that is not needed, stick to 4wding and winching, keep it simple like your trying to keep the whole event.

I agree with acebryan, family wagons are out every weekend at 4wd parks etc 4wding, winching all types of terrian without cages as like most of them dont want to start hacking their vehicle for the odd event. I think a lot of courses could be set up to stop speed and have no risk winch pulls like ...

Thats what I call a fun weekend. Rocky is one of the best places to hold a event, you can't beat driving 5 minutes to get back to town and staying in decent accomidation, also the crowds were great.
Luck wasn't going Clayton's racings way with Spoony breaking a axle (not a tailshaft) so he also had ...

I run standard EFS leafs in my hilux which is only used in winch challenges, I am happy with them, stable, keeps the car low, and I can still keep up with the big boys with the fancy suspension.
