at the moment im not really worried about it but i just want to stop it from leaking oil and later down the track ill fix it properly plus i just wanted to find out if it was a bolt or a stud so i new what i was in for.

Sometimes the hardcore guys weld up their drain plug and install a bolt into the bottom stud hole.. They remove the bottom bolt to drain the oil.. Anyway, its most likely a snapped stud. The only easy way to get it out would be to disassemble the axle and remove the centre to get proper access to ...

the problem ive got this that one of the bolt or stud has broken on the bottom and is leakin diff oil and the bolt -stud is just sitting in there and i cant tell what it is a stud or a bolt sort.

what i need to know is the bolts that hold the diff centre in are they just a screw in stud sort or are they just a bolt that just get pulled in like a wheel stud.

my sons just brought a td4.2 and when he's 4wding going up steep hills it keeps wanting to stall and when he pumps the diesel plunger under the bonnet it seems to go ok any ideas it seems like a fuel problem to me.

its still got the sway bars connected as for the shocks im not shore on that's the way the son brought it plus i recon it got more flex then that in it ,we were just muckin around to take that pic.to_easy wrote:I have similar but not that sort of flex.. put #1 cylinder at top dead center on compression stroke.take off the distributor cao and see wheres its pointing and run you wires per firing order from there yeah i tryed that but i cant seem to get it right .when i turn it off and try to start it again it sounds like the timming is still out and ...

Ive just replaced the head on a l28 and the timing chain is all set properly buy the Manuel but im having trouble trying to find number 1 on the dizzy cap. From what ive worked out you can just about have number 1 anywhere as long as you change the leads around but I cant seem to get the car running ...
