I thought Jap R-spec cars also have a lot more engine/braking mods then the US R-spec cars.

In the Nissan 200SX's the Jap R-spec's have engine mods whereas the US R-spec's only had cosmetic changes.
JDM silvia's comes with ball bearing turbos and are tuned for higher octane fuel.

the turbo is sweet... it will bolt straight to the manifold... only a dump pipe will need to be made up and the lines.

ok guys... i think i have found my solution... they is a guy that sells brand new turbos (t25 style) with 12month warranty. I can get it for roughly $400. Now if the exhaust manifold flange isnt the same... i can get one made up right? and as im putting an exhaust on... the dump pipe will be sweet. ...

i did a search on the surf forums... they say... but i cant confirm... that the flanges are the same as the t25, t28 as on the silvia's (200sx's)

now... t25's pretty much grow on trees... so i will see if i can get a flange diagram

how much does it cost to get a flange made up?

would the ct20's of the prados be different to the ct20's in the surfs? different variations? like andrew said, i want more mid range oomph from the diesel... so the ct26 on the landcruiser would still probably be the best option... what do i want to achieve... the 1 million dollar question :twisted...

$600 was a guesstimate... but i know of a few places that rebuild them. (went through this with my other car... nissan 200sx... which was $800 just for rebuild) i think the biggest issue will be checking the seals... there are what is currently gone in my turbo.... shaft play can be checked. i will ...

It is a very common mod... 2in rear springs and a 2in lift via the torsion bars in the front. You will be able to go off road and they wont be that much stress in the front. Only if you do a 2in body lift that u might have stress on the front cv's, but but u can put a front diff spacer to lower it. ...

80 & 100 series turbo

Hi guys

I was doing a bit of searching and wanted to just make sure:

do both the 80 series and 100 series landcruisers run a ct26 turbo?

and if so, is it the same twin scroll ct26 on the st185 gt4 and mr2 turbo?

thanks
